With Week 6 of the NFL season underway White Earl Thomas Jersey , the 3-2 Baltimore Ravens traveled to Nashville to face the 3-2 Tennessee Titans. The defense started strong for the Ravens, forcing a punt after consecutive sacks from Chris Wormley and Za’Darius Smith. The offense responded with a 21-yard pass from Joe Flacco to Michael Crabtree. Flacco was able to convert several third downs on the drive, twice on a checkdown to Javorius “Buck” Allen and once on a quarterback sneak. Flacco was able to find Crabtree again for a 27-yard gain to put Baltimore in the red zone. A few plays later, Flacco delivered a four-yard strike to Crabtree for the touchdown. After a three-and-out from Tennessee’s offense, the first quarter came to a close with the Ravens leading 7-0. The offense was again able to find the end zone on their second drive tostart the second quarter. After a 23-yard completion to John Brown, running back Alex Collins ran his way in for a 13-yard touchdown to give Baltimore a 14 point lead. The Ravens were able to sack Marcus Mariota two more times on the next drive, once on first down from Patrick Onwuasor and then on third down by Za’Darius Smith again. After Baltimore’s first punt on offense, the Ravens defense got to Mariota yet again, this time in the form of Terrell Suggs. Including a credited sack to Anthony Levine Sr. when he forced Mariota out of bounds on the second drive, Baltimore tallied six sacks in the first half.Second half:The Ravens first drive went as most of them have this season Earl Thomas Jersey 2019 , ending with a score. A long drive by the Ravens offense finished with a two-yard rushing touchdown by Collins after a 22-yard rush by Lamar Jackson only a play ago. After the Ravens scored a touchdown, the defense took the field and welcomed Mariota with another sack, this time by Tony Jefferson. The drive goes nowhere. After a stalled drive by Flacco and the offense, Sam Koch booms one deep. Moore and Cyrus Jones both get a hand on the ball before pinning it down at the one-yard line. The ball didn’t stay in a dangerous zone for long as Mariota sprinted out of the his own endzone and broke of a 20-yard rush. He also completed a long pass to get them at the Titans 45-yard line. In the end, the drive was haulted by Kenny Young as he prouced the eighth sack of the game on Mariota.A few back and forth drives later, Alex Lewis suffered what looked like a serious injury after making a block on a run attempt. His helmet was taped to the backboard, he was lifted off and taken away in an ambulance. We all hope he’s okay.On yet another defensive drive, Matt Judon racked up sack number nine.Gus Edwards was the most exciting part of the offense in the fourth quarter. On a 3rd & 2, Edwards rushed off the left side for a powerful 11-yard gain. What followed were two penalties back-to-back and eventually a punt after an eight-yard gain to Snead IV on 3rd & 25.Clearly, the defense wasn’t done as they broke the franchise record for most sacks in a game with 11. The previous record White Ty Montgomery Jersey , nine, was shattered with Peanut’s second sack of the game and Za’Darius Smith’s third for the final tally on defense (11 total). The Ravens finished by winning 21-0 and pitching their first shutout of the season. After two signings by the Ravens, it’s time to check in on the roster to find the biggest holes and who they could go after in the next few days/weeks.QuarterbackAs of now, the Ravens have only Lamar Jackson on the roster. They need a backup quarterback capable of mentoring Jackson and also give them a shot of winning games in case he goes down.Robert Griffin III — My preferred player. He’s a great mentor for Jackson and he’s also capable of stepping in and driving down the field.Matt Cassel — Another veteran signal caller who could help with understanding NFL systems.Kevin Hogan — Not so much a mentor for the team but he could be a decent player if Jackson were to miss time. Fans may know him as he led a touchdown drive against the Ravens in 2017.Left GuardJames Hurst performed well for most of the season, but adding talent and depth to the line is always necessary.Josh Sitton — After essentially missing the entire 2018 NFL season due to a torn rotator cuff, the Miami Dolphins decided to part ways with the 11-year veteran lineman. I’d like to see him come to the Ravens. I’m curious as to whether he’d like a one-year prove-it deal at his age or if he’s looking for a two- or three-year contract for some ‘job security.’ Sitton is also ideal due to being cut by the Dolphins Ty Montgomery Jersey 2019 , meaning his addition wouldn’t negate a compensatory pick.Andy Levitre — Another veteran guard whose coming off a long-term injury in 2018. I still think he’s worth looking at due to his consistency to stay on the field, minus the past two seasons when he’s dealt with a triceps injury. He placed 6 on PFFs top 10 interior offensive linemen in free agency. Signing Levitre would affect compensatory picks, though.Wide ReceiverAs I’ve said before, searching through the top free agents list for receivers to sign is a tradition for Ravens fans. Unfortunately, there aren’t many names out there that could really bolster this particular area. The draft will be the best option here. Nonetheless, here are a couple names.Pierre Garcon — The typical Ravens signing. He’s dealt with back-to-back season-ending injuries though, which either keeps him from Eric DeCosta’s view or keep his contract cheap.Jermaine Kearse — Another player that probably won’t move the needle much and not high on the radar, but I’ll write his name on here in case something happens. At 6-feet 1-inches tall and over 200 lbs., maybe he could catch the teams’ attention.Outside linebackerSome good players are left, but they come at a price tag far greater than the Ravens can afford. After all Womens Hayden Hurst Jersey , premier pass rushers aren’t cheap.Nick Perry — A real possibility if there ever is one. The money would be tough but he’s a 3-4 outside linebacker who can generate pressure. He was also cut by the Packers, meaning the Ravens can sign him without losing a precious compensatory pick. I’d be happy to see Perry in purple, but he’ll likely see greater offers elsewhere.Jamie Collins — A multi-faceted hybrid linebacker with blitz capabilities would be incredible for the Ravens. Collins is dynamic and I’d like to see in with Baltimore, but he’s also raised concerns due to his lack of motivation at times. If DeCosta believes in him, I’d be 100% for it. Maybe Collins would agree to a prove-it contract to earn another payday.Boringly enough, this will all come down to the dollars and cents. The Ravens can’t afford to go out and spend every last penny; DeCosta is righting the ship after many contracts pinned the team down. If the Ravens do go out and spend more, it must be on the cheaper side of the deals we’ve seen these past few days.
